Биография Jean-Luc Ponty Жан-Люк Понти родился 29 сентября 1942 в городе Авранш, Франция. Его родители были классическими музыкантами - отец давал уроки игры на скрипке, мама - на фортепиано. В 16 лет мальчик поступил в Парижскую Консерваторию, закончив которую с отличием, был принят в симфонический оркестр Concerts Lamoureux. Тогда же он начал играть сначала на кларнете, а затем и на саксофоне в студенческом джаз-бэнде. Однако его мечтой было «адаптировать» скрипку к звучанию джаз-оркестра и спустя три года, покинув Concerts Lamoureux, Понти начал претворение мечты в жизнь, поначалу встречая лишь непонимание и жесткую критику. В 1964 году музыкант записал для Philips первый сольный альбом «Jazz Long Playing», два года спустя вышел концертник, записанный в швейцарском Базеле с такими грандами , как Свенд Асмунсен, Стефан Грапелли и Стафф Смит. В конце 60-х- начале 70-х Понти сотрудничает с Фрэнком Заппой, написавшим музыку для альбома «King Kong» и Элтоном Джоном, сочинившим несколько номеров для «Honky Chateau». В конце 1991 года на Epic Records он выпускает «Tchokola», где комбинирует акустическую и электрическую скрипку, используя полиметрию и полиритмические звуки Западной Африки. Для поисков новых форм и звучаний далеко ехать не пришлось — шоком для Жана-Люка обернулось выступление народных коллективов Западной Африки, случайно услышанное им в родном Париже. А в конце сентября Маэстро почтил своим присутствием Москву и Санкт-Петербург, дав по одному концерту в этих городах. Несомненно, звуки его скрипки надолго останутся в памяти счастливых слушателей! Жан-Люк собирается записать новый сольный студийный альбом, а также продолжить гастроли своей многонациональной группы музыкантов. Прослеживая путь Жана-Люка Понти, можно убедиться, что скрипичный гений ничуть не успокоился, двигаясь и дальше тернистой, но увлекательной дорогой музыкальных экспериментов. Один из лучших джазовых скрипачей Жан-Люк Понти - знаковая фигура джаз-рокового бума 70-х, новатор, первооткрыватель, кумир нескольких поколений последовавших за ним скрипачей. До него многие музыканты подключали скрипку к усилителю, чтоб громче звучала. Жан-Люк пошел дальше: его пятиструнная "виолектра" - полностью электронный инструмент, по набору звуковых эффектов и по средствам выразительности не менее богатый, чем электрогитара (и столь же далекий от своего акустического прародителя).
