Mодернизированный движок Freedom Fighters обещает множество новых эффектов, и в целом Hitman: Contracts позиционируется как лучший в плане графики проект из всего, что сделано компанией на сегодняшний день. Атмосфера игры гораздо более депрессивна, чем в предыдущих сериях. Дождь, снег, темнота и ненастье станут вашими постоянными спутниками. Кроме того, мрачное настроение и выразительность антуража подкрепляются всеми возможными визуальными эффектами, увеличением количества полигонов на 50% и музыкой Джеспера Кида (Jesper Kyd), отметившегося в каждом творении IO.

Киностудия 20th Century Fox приобрела права на экранизацию серии стелс-экшенов Hitman от IO Interactive/Eidos, рассказывающих о приключениях Агента №47 - наемного убийцы, выращенного в клоночане из чужой ДНК. Главную роль в фильме, премьера которого состоится не раньше, чем в 2006 году, сыграет актер (и большой любитель компьютерных игр) Вин Дизель, он же является исполнительным продюсером ленты. Режиссер еще не найден.
Попутно Вин Дизель и принадлежащая ему компания Tigon Studios ведут переговоры с Eidos о возможности создания пятой части игры, где использовались бы голос и внешность актера. Предполагается, что релиз состоится синхронно с выходом фильма в широкий прокат.
Впрочем, четвертую "серию" - Hitman: Blood Money, - которая появится в продаже нынешней осенью, эти договоренности никак не затронут. |

Hitman 2's storyline begins in a Sicilian monastery.
