::| "This album was recorded by Klaus in the summer of 1985, after a |::
::| one-month concert tour in Europe during February, the completition of |::
::| two film soundtracks and the music for a radio-play during May to June, |::
::| and two recordings of his Maxi Single, the infamous "Macksy" (see |::
::| further below). |::
::| The original cover of the "Inter*Face" LP gives for the track "Colours |::
::| in the Darkness" the lenght of 11'59. But the actual lenght on this LP |::
::| was just 9'12. I checked the original "Inter*Face" tape from 1985 and |::
::| found the "Coulours..." track with the lenght of 11:59. And what is |::
::| more: this colourful and dark music sounded much more like "Colours of |::
::| the Darkness", compared to the light rhytmical version on the released |::
::| nine minute version. I would say that something strange must have |::
::| happened in 1985 when the album was released. The newly found 11'59 |::
::| version seems tp be the "original" and first choice for release because |::
::| the music fits perfectly to the title, and the lenght fits to what was |::
::| printed on the LP cover. How and why a completely different piece - in |::
::| mood and duration - found its way onto the actual Brain album is a |::
::| mystery. Man weiss so wenig... So, here are both versions, first as |::
::| part of the original album, and secondly as the bonus The Real Colours |::
::| in the Darkness, which we had already released in 1997 in our huge (and |::
::| long deleted) set "Jubilee Edition". |::
::| |::
::| Because the present re-release CD still had some space to fill, I took |::
::| the chance to use a curious and queer recording as an additional bonus |::
::| track; a track I always wanted to put out because it's so interesting |::
::| and quite different (friend Leenart classified it as: "klingt ganz |::
::| witzig"). Actually, it's a longer version of "Macksy" (or Maxxi") which |::
::| was recorded shortly before "Inter*Face", on request of the record |::
::| company, "for the discos". Nota bene: I'm sure that it's no KS who |::
::| sings on this peculiar track. Finally, I would like to thank Harry |::
::| Rowohlt for the well-fitting song title "Nichtarische Arie" :-) |::

::| A short review of the original LP from 1985: |::
::| |::
::| "This is electronic music in its finest form! Sweeping patterns of |::
::| sound that are alive with a power and a pulsating beat that only Klaus |::
::| Schulze can control. Here is the old Schulze that gave us Body Love, |::
::| Moondawn and Timewind. Here is the true majesty of electronic music |::
::| presented by an artist who do not only commands the technology but also |::
::| the artistry. |::
::| Side one of the album has three songs, all somewhat different in their |::
::| approach. Starting out deep and melodic is On the Edge. Colors of |::
::| Darkness is a very strong composition that could be a chase scene in a |::
::| movie. The final cut, Le Beat Planante, is smoother with an almost |::
::| meditative feeling. Side two is a side-long composition, the title cut. |::
::| Everything that Klaus Schulze has ever done in electronic music has |::
::| been put into Inter*Face. Everything that has been put in has been |::

My recomendation about "Drive Inn Vol 2" - solo album of Rainer Bloss w/o KS, but very nice, last track are genius, of course in my humble opinion.
