cadiz49, regarding the Robert Miles & Trilok Gurtu album, track 11, 12, and 13 are corrupred, unfortunately!

DrNil, yes, it is a self extracting archive, its a little bizzare, it tries to connect to the internet if you double click on it, and it tells yopu to begin'installation'.
Anyway, just deny it access in your firewall.
if you right-click on it, you can use the option "Open using WinRAR" thenyou can extract it to the specified folder.
However, as i mentioned in the above post, 3 tracks, 11, 12 and 13 are corrupted.
so you get 10 tracks, not 13.

I extracted it with WinRAR and all tracks were fine. Try re-extracting the files, as they are fine. |

unfortunately i tried it again, and it dosent work, 11, 12 & 13 still corrupted.

Thanks for all the replys and the opinions (KENT KOENIG  )
First of all the SFX archive at install just tries to show the cover of the album in the information field 'cos I wrote a small HTML file to present information from the compilation and not to show the common sfx-text.
That's why it tries to connect to the internet. It's absolute harmless.
If there's among us who can tell me how to embend and not link a picture in HTML than I'll write the following archives additional information in that way so it won't connect.
Is megaupload better for everyone?
Going to choose one for today...

Basically, and this is just my opinion, Megaupload is slow, well at least slower than rapidshare.de.
But rapidshare on the other hand, is a pain for people who have static ip's, or who are on a LAN behind a router.
Whereas zupload on the other hand, is faster and more reliable.
Plus, it is not as well known as the above 2, so thats helps as well, cause bottlenecks are fewer.

well size does matter, and max filesize for mytempdir.com is ONLY 30 MB.
one should give zupload.com a try, max. file size is 500 MB!!
and yes, Megaupload.com indeed does suck! |

Why don't you like MegaUpload?..I've got 25Kb\sec...Rapidshare gives almost 38...
What about ZUpload?..I can't say it is fast...Only 20 for me...

hi satorippoi, i'll give you an example.
Yesterday, i uploaded an album on rapidshare.de, and it was 40 MB, and it upped fine and i posted the link here.
Today, i was upping an album, and it was over 100 MB in total so i was uploading it to megaupload.com, and after 85.6 MB, it just died on me.
{i got to learn how to do split files, so i can upp it on rapidshare}
also, in my limited experience, megaupload.com has a nasty habit of cutting you off in the last remaining 20 or 30 MB's of a download.
I've had it die on me more than a couple of times.
but hey, to each his own! in our own way, let us continue to upload wherever we can!

agree!..not as fast as rapidshare, but at least stable and allows large files...

i guess you've never used slil.ru...if you mention shit, it is just the case...
So, i prefer the uploader to choose server himself...But if i had to upload, i would take rapidshare...use Universal Downloader and things will be just fine... |
