I am making a criticism of people's posting here at Funkysouls.... Protect your source of music.......
1/the files should never link here via hyperlink ... (put an asterix in place of the tt in http in the address like this: h**p)
2/the file names should not reveal their contents...(I usually just put the first letters of the file name in so e.g."Lusine - Serial Hodgepodge" becomes "L-SH.rar" )...
3/the files should not reveal their contents so they should be passworded and the filenames encrypted ...WinRaR is easy to use in this respect. Go into the advanced option to set the password, and then to encrypt file names you do this in the "set password" window - tick the "encrypt file names" box...
This way there is less likelyhood of the uploaded files being deleted by the filehost and when the artists do a search they are less likely to stumble across your illegal files. So unless they are already monitoring Funkysouls forum they will find files posted here extremely difficult to see elsewhere....
Though saying this it is usually the bigger artists who are more vigilent.... |

Джефф МакИлвайн (Jeff McIlwain) начал писать музыку во второй половине 90-х годов. Уроженец Остина, Техас, он обучается музыкальному искусству в Калифорнийском институте искусств, а впоследствии переезжает в Лос-Анджелес. На основе своих работ и работ других студентов, а позднее при контактах с другими музыкантами Джефф собирает обширную библиотеку сэмплов, которые затем использует в своих музыкальных произведениях.
Дебютные работы Джеффа под названием L'usine (одноименный альбом 1999-го года и ранние синглы) были выполнены в духе классического IDM, хотя уже тогда его фирменным отличием стал максимально качественный звук, отточенная ритм-секция и многослойная фильтрация мелодий. Однако позже он начинает экспериментировать с другими областями электроники, его музыка уже варьируется от минималистичного мелодичного техно до глубоких эмбиентных саундскейпов. Будучи крайне требовательным к качеству своей продукции (именно поэтому он почти всегда работает в одиночку), МакИлвайн полирует композиции до достижения ими идеально холодного, отстраненного, футуристичного звучания. Его музыку называют музыкой будущего, обгоняющую свое время на несколько лет, при классификации его творчество описывают как новую мутацию электронной музыки или просто как "новую электронику".
К настоящему времени МакИлвайн издал около дюжины разноформатных релизов на таких лейблах, как Isophlux, U-cover, Tigerbeat, Delikatessen Records, Hymen, Music Aus Strom. Его почитают критики и его музыку очень любят электрофрики, Jeff Mcilwain сегодня является одним из ключевых персонажей электронной сцены США.

language barrier is jeff mcilwain's first album for hymen records since his iron city full length, released in 2002. (not including the 3" cd contribution for the travel sickness box set or the condensed singles compilation).
here, mcilwain explores his ambient side to a fuller extent than in any of his previous releases. beautiful chord structures melt with excerpts from his huge archive of field recordings. characteristic layers and treatments are mostly kept together by a metric structure accented with subtle rhythms. 'jetstream', for example, gets this structure from a sample-and-hold-like-treatment - restrained, but still very sonically detailed.
language barrier is ambient electronic music at it's best, providing a relaxed, entrancing sentiment - music to be listened to, carefully and often.

во-во, точно, я тоже немного подобломался. неожиданный поворот, покупал новый диск не за эмбиентом, а оно во как вышло. лучше бы скачал, жалко денежки. как эмбиент альбом неплох, но как Lusine - облом. наверно слишком много ожидал, судя по прошлым релизам. |
