I'm talking about the Supper Club in New York City on two days in November 1993. Dylan played four acoustic shows, packed with rarely heard material, mostly traditionals from World Gone Wrong (1993) or elsewhere. For a long time these shows were circulating as audience recordings of minor quality. Now we got one of those as a fantastic soundboard: the ten tracks from the evening show, November 16th. The sound quality of these recording is better than Paradise Hawaiian Style, the Wolftrap-CD from the same year or even the MTV-Unplugged sessions from 1994. The show itself is amazing as well. At least these show from the 16th might be not as extraordinary as the three tracks from the following evening that had been released on From The Vaults Vol.1. I mean, Weeping Willow, which is not included here, has a fixed place in my personal top 25 of live tunes by Dylan since I heard it for the first time. But Is This What You Want? is a very, very serious release, one of the best I heard within the last months, and it comes up with some stuff that shouldn't be missed in any collection. Jack-A-Roe and Ragged And Dirty appear in the definite versions, and I Want You is as close to the original studio release from 1966 (!) as never before or after. This particular edition is not only one of the best shows from 1993 (check out "Bob Dylan and The Never Ending Tour Band", rec. Pentange, Luxembourg, February 1993. You can get it cheap recently on ebay.de.), but an essential set in general. The filler material is less interesting, though the two tracks (Pancho and Lefty, Hard Times) from Willie Nelson's Big Six-O are essential too. If you still haven't got them, get them now. Filou tops it off with a digipack that is much more tasteful than all those stupid caricatures we got from Tuff Bites years ago. Highly recommended!"

Да, есть такой дуэт The Dylan Group, проблема в том, что этот коллектив играет инди пост-рок в стилистике Tortoise и, собственно, к Бобу Дилану не имеет ни малейшего отношения. Вообще, august110th, ты уверен, что попал в нужную тему? У Боба нашего Дилана, конечно, есть свой аккомпанирующий состав, который называется The Band, Bob Dylan and The Band, если быть уж прямо совсем точным, так что если ты об этом, то могу поискать в закромах, вроде что-то даже и было. Вроде бы.

извиняюсь конечно но найти малейшую инфу о the dylan group не могу нигде. как-будто и вовсе и нет такого коллектива и никто его не слушает.
P.s была надежда что как-то связан с Бобом Диланом. умерла. но если кто что знает - пишите |

глупости, забейте в поисковике, не поверю никогда что команда, записывающаяся на FatCat, не предоставляла бы о себе какую-либо информацию...
я так понял, что эта группа не имеет отношения к музыканту, на этом разговор исчерпан... здесь только о Bob Dylan`е

Считается, что этот живой альбом вроде как один из, если не самый худший, равно и из творчества Боба Дилана и The Grateful Dead. Тем не менее интересен хотя бы как документ фиксирующий ту, ещё не слишком давнюю, эпоху и любимых (я надеюсь!) артистов.
И хотя это описание получается не слишком-то и располагающим к скачиванию, тем не менее рекомендую заценить пластиночку хотя бы чисто из общеобразовательных соображений, ведь кто знает, быть может за навешенным кем-то ярлычком "самого плохого" вдруг да и расслышится нечто просто другое и непохожее на привычную музыку этих артистов. |

Помнится, нн-ое количество лет назад начала ознакомление с музыкой Дилана с альбома Slow Train Comin' и мне он настолько не понравился, что на некоторое время желание знакомится с творчеством его отпало. Вижу здесь песню Slow Train, но сейчас меня уже Бобом Диланом не напугаешь, так что скачаю)) |

Нда, как-то опять же не пошел у меня этот конец 80-х, All Along The Watchtower вообще напомнил Dire Straits, что значит не вставляет. А "Knocking" в исполнении лучшем, чем на саундтреке к "Pat Garret and Billy The Kid" я все равно не слышала и здесь не зацепило совершенно. В общем в целом на мой взгляд проходное. А вот с блюзовым сборником дело хорошее, скачаю  А ты сам что думаешь? |

да в общем да. вещь, конечно, не фонтан, концертник, увы, далёкий от идеала, хотя и не худший из всех Дилановских лонгплеев. Тот же Dylan 73-го года - вот, по-моему, его самая никакая пластинка.
Что касается блюзового трибьютничка, то в целом он, к сожалению, тоже довольно средних музыкальных достоинств. Всё портит абсолютно насмерть запродюссированное, излишне "гладкое" звучание, впрочем учитывая, что состав музыкантов там всё-таки с популярной блюзовой сцены, то это хотя бы более-менее ожидаемый минус.
А вообще, сейчас докачиваю выложенный Lennox'ом Live in Oslo (за что ему большое человеческое спасибо!), вот он, надеюсь, не разочарует. Да и интересно, всё-таки, услышать (впервые!) каков Дилан сегодня и сейчас вживую. |

Мне понравилась вещь - Bob Dylan - Live 1966. Отлично звучит. Насчёт Дилана и Дэдов могу сказать,что мне не нравится,впрочем как и Дилан и The Band. А ещё я уже раз 5-ть пересмотрел творение Мартина Скорсезе...в-о-с-х-и-т-и-т-е-л-ь-н-о!) (спасибо AL-97)). Ну вообщем,чтобы я не слушал у Боба (бутлеги,концерты и раритеты) для меня по прежнему лучшими остаются альбомы "nashville skyline" и "Bob Dylan". |
