Тока заметил,что обложка Hardest To Find: Lost Diamonds 1986-1996 Дилана напоминает раннии обложки Pink Floyd,к сожалению,не помню первого или второго альбома,а может и обоих. Психоделический Боб Дилан)) |

The tour, with its attendant publicity, definitely returned both artists to center stage, and it definitely succeeded, breaking box office records and earning great reviews. "Before the Flood", a double-album souvenir of the tour, suggests that these were generally dynamic shows, but not because they were reveling in the past, but because Dylan was fighting the nostalgia of his audience -- nostalgia, it must be noted, that was promoted as the very reason behind these shows. Yet that's what gives this music such kick -- Dylan reworks, rearranges, reinterprets these songs in ways that are still disarming, years after its initial release. He could only have performed interpretations this radical with a group as sympathetic, knowing of his traits as the band, whose own recordings here are respites from the storm. And this is a storm -- the sound of a great rocker, surprising his band and audience by tearing through his greatest songs in a manner that might not be comforting, but it guarantees it to be one of the best live albums of its time. Ever, maybe.

Довольно известный бутлег с концерта 75-го года, известный под такими названиями, как The S.N.A.C.K Concert, San Francisco Bay Blues, The Prophet & The Clown, San Francisco 1975 , San Franciscan Nights , Ballad of a Blue Poet , and Super Golden Radio Shows #27. Качество записи весьма приличное, особенно учитывая бутлегерское происхождение и возраст записи. Есть правда у этого концерта один довольно серьёзный минус, особенно в свете данного треда, - на нём практически не слышно вокала Дилана (вот так вот  ), как пишут на theband.hiof.no виноват не во время сломавшийся микрофон... Впрочем минус этот довольно забавный, послушайте I Want You, смешно получилось. На Knockin' on Heaven's Door так вообще такое твориться... впрочем, сами послушаете.

Действительно классные вещи,приступаю к закачке,особо порадовало,что на ifolder_е.)) Насчёт недовольного Боба,мне кажется он по большей части всегда был очень-очень доволен собой и считал себя гением,а на людях примерял маску недовольствия. Мол я то знаю,кто Я)) Мне вспомнилось,как Дилан в разговоре с Миком сказал,что вот я бы сумел сочинить Satisfaction,а ты бы Mr. Tambourine Man никогда)).

В общем, поскольку мы в этой теме, судя по всему, единственные постоянные посетители, хочу испросить разрешения  . Есть два трибьютника Дилану от Greatful Dead и их лид-гитариста, вокалиста и споуксмена Джерри Гарсиа, соответственно. Собственно, недавно был неудачный Dylan & The Dead, поэтому и спрашиваю: нужно? а то неохота большой объём выкладывать, если музыка никому не будет нужна. В Rolling Stone_е,только не помню в нашем или в ихнем...
Да,выложи,повозможности,я вообще люблю трибьюты,а Дилану...просто необходимо такое иметь в коллекции и послушать.
P.S. Очень понравился альбом Bryan Ferry - Dylanesque (2007),никак не могу наслушаться. Сильная вещь!

| Цитата: | Throughout their 30-year career, the Grateful Dead performed a lot of music by other artists, but few songbooks were given the attention of that of Bob Dylan. Though they covered his songs sporadically (and Jerry Garcia performed a good deal more in his myriad side projects), the band didn't really begin to delve deeply into the Dylan repertoire until the mid-'80s. Following their tour with Dylan in the summer of 1987 (documented on Dylan and the Dead), the attention increased. Most of the material on this compilation, produced by Grateful Dead Hour host and musician David Gans, is drawn from between 1985 and 1989. Likewise, most of the songs are drawn from Dylan's work created between 1965 and 1967. By the '80s, the Dead were certainly far from the top of their game. Though they were infused with bursts of creative energy, many of which are captured here, the band's sound during that period was particularly cluttered, and sounds as such throughout Postcards of the Hanging. During this period, however, guitarists Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir were coming into their own as vocalists. Their deliveries of the songs are some of the most nuanced and carefully considered, and the band offers a sympathetic support. Garcia, in specific, adds utterly brilliant complementary guitar lines throughout that almost serve as a running commentary on lyrics. In fact, it is his completely emotional and intelligent playing that does the most towards unraveling Dylan's famously dense lyrics, and simultaneously makes the disc worth far more than the price of admission and creates a convincing argument for the Dead as possibly the most convincing interpreters of Dylan's songs. [This version of the album contains bonus tracks.]
