Ron Toon released AI (rev0) to the world sometime during the last millennia. Long before Harvested had a QA department. It was my discussions with Ron concerning the clicks, pops, and other glitches in AI (rev0) that led to my joining the team. One of my earliest contributions was to deglitch AI and the first rev A edition was released. As the years went by, a much lower generation source for this show emerged. My first knowledge of its existance was the RoIO Mr Pig. Although the SQ on Mr Pig was better than AI (you can hear many subtleties not detectable on AI revA), Mr Pig had other problems, like clipping, gaps during the tape flips, unbalanced, etc. So the thoughts of doing a rev B began. That was two years ago... About six months ago, we decided to do it. We got another source, a better source than Mr Pig. One that didn't have the clipping problem. Then Marc-Olivier went to work. Marc-Oliver spent quite sometime remastering this new source and expertly patching the tape flips. Then it was my turn. I recently finished doing the deglitching and sent a copy to Richard to start the weed.
So here it is! Animal Instincts Rev B (HRV-CDR-014)
Pink Floyd recorded live at the Oakland Coliseum May 9, 1977.
For me, the highlight of this show is SoYCD6-9. It's the best version of this song ever.
For those of you that already own a copy of AI, you know that a bonus track is included at the end of disc two. This being the studio version of Pigs on the Wing with Snowy White prviding a bridge between the two parts. AI rev0 and revA simple included a copy of this song as it was released on Snowy White's Goldtop CD. Well... We've changed this too for AI rev B. Now you have the original version (the Pink Floyd mix) as it appeared on the original 8-track tapes, transferred to digital direct from an original 8-track tape.
This version is different than the Goldtop version (the Snowy mix).

Amentis Тебя обм... ввели в заблуждение. Editors неплохая группа, но если в их музыке и присутствуют элементы аля Pink Floyd, то самую малость, как впрочем и в сотнях других рок-групп (от наследия Pink Floyd никуда не денешься...), но вот по духу Редакторы и близко не стоят рядом с Pink Floyd...
Вот кто ИМХО воистину пошатнул коллоса и разрушил представление об уникальности и неповторимости духа (не самих музыкальных и аранжир. приемов, а именно духа) заключенного в саунде Pink Floyd:
"Barclay James Harvest"
"Planet P Project" (Тоny Carey)
"Asia" (эра Джона Пейна)
"Alan Parsons Project"
"Mostly Autumn" (первые альбомы)
"Porcupine Tree"
"Iluzjon" (не тот из 80-х, а современный)
Список можно продолжить, но уже будет не столь очевидным... |

я оговорился в своём посте, что Editors - "чем-то схоже по духу", не более, так что не надо тут про "ввели в заблуждение" - в музыке вообще слово "аналог" или вовсе значения не имеет, или просто смягчённый термин "плагиат" |
