That's pretty much what it is. It's a slightly different (and hopefully better or more of a crowd pleasing) version of the original that is produced by the original producer to give to his mates who he considers his VIPs (Very Important People). In the past, only the top DJs would have VIP versions. Now.. *love* interwebz!
