Well another progressive band, a very fine one to be sure, with anglo-scandinavian musician....
and here's there next album, in advance version....
The music is progressive, with influences ranging from jazz to Pink Floyd and some metal touches here and there....

Neil Morse, Spock's Beard come as easiest similar artists....

The TANGENT is a musical project that involves seven of the most dedicated progressive musicians today. The band consists of Roine STOLT, Jonas REINGOLD & Zoltan CZSORZ (all from The FLOWER KINGS), Sam BAINE & Andy ALLISON (from PARALLEL Or 90 DEGREES), Guy MANNING (MANNING), and ex VDGG sax/flute player David JACKSON. A line-up that historically spans the whole of the progressive music era.

"The Music That Died Alone" is a CD recorded by the people of that project. It's a very "English School of Progressive Rock" album, and fans of Canterbury-style music will be delighted with what they hear. Three generations of progressive music – one remarkable album. Two multi-part prog epics - "in Darkest Dreams" and "The Music That Died Alone" - with a tribute to the Canterbury School in between. It clocks in at just under 50 minutes.

The opening track is "In Darkest Dreams", an unabashed 20 minutes multi-part prog epic. It's a killer of a piece, an amazing project debut, and a total classic of the long format symphonic piece. "The Canterbury Sequence" is a three sections. It's wistfully nostalgic (as the titles suggest), faintly humorous, and definitely a pastiche of the Canterbury School of prog. You can hear a definite similarity in source between RETURN TO FOREVER and NATIONAL HEALTH, but a different approach from the two bands. The closing "movement" of the album is "The Music That Died Alone". Another epic, this is divided into 4 sections. A genre that lives on in an "underground" context rather than the rich pickings it enjoyed in the 1970s. And that is exactly what "the music that died alone" is: the next great 70s English progressive rock album.

Let's rewrite tradition; Remove corruption from our stride.
Let's rewrite tradition; Appraise the meaning of our lives.
I thrive on division but I'm abandoning my pride.
I'm seeking redemption, I want the love that I denied.
