Simply said, he's an underrated genius in my opinion. His early works are very experimental with beautiful, beautiful melodies. Though, his ambient tracks never seem to bore because of the elaborated beats and unconventional ideas. Plus he catches a specific and identifying mood with his tunes. If i have to compare i would say it's aphex early works combined with this freaky album Druqs. Wich leads to win. With "Idhax" he takes a different course and leaves the analoge regions into more digital and fast driven tunes. But he's amazing there as well. For me he is the most interesting original artists between Aphex, Ceephax, Amon Tobin & Infected Mushroom. KPStyle forever!

Все предыдущие альбомы у меня есть, музыка не плохая, но какой-то особенной я ее не назову, просто качественный конвейерный айдиэм. ИМХО конечно.

я тоже уж чем-то сверх выдающейся её не назову, но музыка не тупая и драйвовая - взбадривает не плохо. я на него вышел несколько дней назад по подсказке www.last.fm, когда забрался туда посмотреть, кого там пишут как наиболее похожего на Badun (вот музыка этой группы это действительно мне очень понравилась, особенно последний альбом). следующего кого буду прослушивать это Rumpistol (ещё один датчанин, кого last.fm причисляет, как наиболее близкого к Badun)

Два дефектных трека оказались в Tracks (2003): 10 и 11. Нашёл хорошие:

When Karsten Pflum started making music about 12 years ago, he was using the moniker Slaphead Faun, but when his first releases were hitting the shelves in 2002 he discarded the name again. Since 2002 Pflum has released three albums, but now Slaphead Faun is back, although this time as the name of an album. This album is a collection of bastard tunes produced between 2002 and 2007; they are the unreleased offspring of previous albums and EPs - the tunes that never made it on to the releases. There is a certain classic feel to the tracks, like they were in some way a yet unreleased collection of favourites. Pflum's early works are very experimental with beautiful melodies, elaborated beats and unconventional ideas. Tricky and clever tunes that are catchy yet border seeking, and the tracks Tak 1 and Tak One are representatives of this period. During his career, Pflum's productions gradually became more edgy, the melodies more subtle and the drum programming more equilibristic. Tracks like Pan BD Spiree and Six Step Chase shows how the music brings sound design into the mix, adding an extra layer of glitchy and quirky textures. The album Slaphead Faun shows the whole Karsten Pflum spectre of sound - from the harsh and aggressive Thael Spir to the softer and almost magical Computer Weekend. It reveals different approaches to composition techniques and arrangement - Byrd or Fy Darkspedter are straight forward going, while tracks like Jazzkroge III or Make Rite are gradually morphing in new mysterious directions. Slaphead Faun offers poppy melodic lines, psyched drill n' bass, old-school IDM and experimental electronica. It is a timeless dish of old and new tunes, a dish that altogether adds a new flavour to your ears. Poignant and seductive, like shadows manifistating in the dark.

Классный музыкант. Конечно использует технику Aphex Twin, но по-своему переосмысливая. Да, использует формулы Ae, но кто их не использовал и почему бы их не использовать если они хороши. Звук на альбоме Slaphead Faun мастерил Sofus Forsberg, а Я обожаю его работы коих очень немного. Что отрадно - вероятность провала меньше. Ды, я от одних их имен очарован Karsten Pflum (Jacob Helverskov Madsen), Thomas Knak, Guy Sigsworth, Valgeir Sigurðsson...И за этими именами действительно кроется магия звука. Гуманизм инкапсулированный в музыку. Я не пафоса ради это говорю, я глубоко чувствую. Простите меня за это. К своим 27 годам я как-то сумел сохранить тонкую перцептивную систему, не разъеденную горьким промыслом матрицы One Love

мне последний альбом не понравился, да и вероятность того, что собранные треки не нашедшие места в предыдущих альбомах могут сойтись вместе в удачный альбом была незначительной
